Individual therapy is a form of mental health treatment that involves one-to-one sessions between a qualified therapist and a client seeking psychological support. This collaborative, therapeutic approach is designed to help individuals explore their feelings, thoughts and emotions, and is considered to be a cornerstone of mental and emotional well-being. Conducted in a confidential and supportive space either in person or remotely, individual therapy can offer numerous benefits.

Individual Therapy Adults
Benefits

Individual Therapy Adolescents
Adolescent therapy addresses the unique needs and challenges of teens’ evolving development. The main objective is to support adolescents in positively and proactively navigating their rapidly changing lives. Issues which often arise include academic pressures, peer relationships, parental divorce, the impact of social media, self-harm and identity development. While the principles are similar to those utilised in adult therapy, the process differs in that it caters towards the child’s developmental stage. For example, creative resources are often incorporated to complement talking therapy. Individual adolescent therapy sessions for 13+ are currently only held in person and with the consent of parent or caregiver.
Benefits

Group Therapy
Unlike individual therapy, which involves one client and therapist, group therapy is a form of psychotherapy which entails a therapist working with several people at once, often between 5-10 participants. The group discussion is facilitated by a trained therapist and generally focuses on similar mental health concerns such as low self-esteem or anxiety. Group therapy is conducted in person with some flexibility in topics covered depending on client demand.

Therapy For The Workplace
A 2024 study by Deloitte found that poor mental health costs UK businesses £51 billion per year. Employees, especially younger ones, are eager to access mental health support, and there is growing evidence showing its benefits for staff retention, employee productivity and financial returns. Lack of access, logistical difficulties and prohibitive costs often prevent employees from obtaining the mental health support they need. This dearth of care could result in increased absenteeism, less engagement and lower productivity. We help businesses by providing their employees with onsite and offsite access to therapist sessions.
